Basement Cleanouts for the Greater Seattle Area
Basements accumulate differently from the rest of the house. Things go down there to be dealt with later, and later never arrives. Twenty years on there are boxes nobody has opened, furniture from a house you no longer own, and a smell suggesting something got damp around 2011.
The reason it’s all still there is the staircase. We’ll do that part. Our crew carries everything up and out, and you decide what stays without lifting a box.

Full Service
We lift, load and sweep. We do our best to donate or recycle rather than add to the landfill.

Basement cleanouts are the most physical job we do, and the stairs are why. Narrow treads, a turn at the bottom, a low beam, sometimes a bulkhead door that hasn’t opened in years. We plan the route before we start and protect the walls on the way up.
Damp is the other thing basements do. Cardboard collapses, particleboard swells, and things that were fine when they went down are not fine now. That doesn’t change whether we take it. It mostly changes where it ends up, because water-damaged goods can’t be donated. If there’s standing water or the floor has gone uneven, tell us, because it changes the footing and the route out.
We sort upstairs, where you can actually see what we’re pulling out. That matters more in a basement than anywhere else, because most of what’s down there was stored rather than discarded, and people find things they’d forgotten they owned. If you want to go through boxes before they leave, we’ll work at that pace.
Basement cleanouts are priced by the fraction of the truck you fill. Our pricing page has the tiers.
Call or text 425-224-7760 with a few photos, including one of the stairs, and we’ll quote it.

Frequently Asked Questions
That’s usually the whole reason people call. Narrow treads, tight turns and low beams are normal, and we plan the route and protect the walls before we start. If access is genuinely tight, say so when you book and we’ll send more people rather than fewer.
Damp cardboard, swollen particleboard and musty fabric are normal basement finds and we’ll take them. What we can’t take is active mold growth, which needs a remediation company rather than a hauling crew. If a wall or floor is visibly affected, get that handled first and call us for the contents afterward.
No. Most people haven’t opened those boxes in years and don’t want to start now. We carry things up and you say yes or no at the top of the stairs. If you’d rather open boxes as they come up, we’ll work at that pace instead.
Both. A chest freezer counts as an appliance containing refrigerant, so it carries a per-unit surcharge under EPA rules and needs to be disconnected and emptied before we arrive. Water heaters are straightforward as long as they’re disconnected and drained.
Anywhere from two hours to most of a day. The variables are volume, the staircase, and how much you want to review on the way out. We give you a time estimate along with the price before we start.
We sort as we load. Furniture and household goods in usable shape go to local donation partners including Habitat for Humanity. Metal, electronics and cardboard get recycled. Water-damaged goods are the hardest to rehome, but we look for an option on those too before anything goes to a facility.
